Saturday was hot, so I decided to take Richard and Josephine to the Broadway Car Show. I allowed Richard to drive the Healey and I had a spell of sitting on the rear parcel shelf. This being a convertible my ears were flapping about a bit which, as you know, is not a good look. I had a great view of the road ahead, but Josephine seemed convinced that I would somehow slip my lead and leap out of a moving car so I decided to move to the front seat to placate her.
Broadway was packed! All of the car parks were full, so we had to cruise up and down the main high street looking for a space. Josephine wore her big Chanel hat and Julia Roberts dress and held me on her lap for all to see. I was photographed so many times! On the way home we stopped off at the farm shop at Todenham to buy some meat for the BBQ. When I arrived I thought the butcher looked a bit of a shifty fella, but when I discovered I was allowed in to sniff the produce I began to change my mind. And when we went to leave he gave me a bag of beef offcuts!
